Having worked with Morgo several years ago building and designing their first ecommerce website, I was more than happy to help when they approached me for a full overhaul of their branding, website design and ecommerce platform.

Mobile First Design

Looking over the Google Analytics data from Morgo’s previous website, we saw a huge trend in mobile users. This shifted my focus to a mobile first design when it came to recreating their new online shop, ensuring they captured the mobile audience and offering them the best buying experience.

Branding Refresh

I was tasked with creating a new logo for the Morgo brand, something that would stand out and work well in the digital world as well as the physical.

The new branding would be utilised across the website, product packaging and merchandise.

Creating an intuitive shopping experience was key to this websites success. After many hours or prototyping I finally settled on the design you see before you.

Ensuring that people of all ages were able to navigate and buy the product they needed without struggling. Bold and large text was used along with high contrast text which is legible on all devices.

Easy to use

Looking deeper into the analytics, in particular the age demographic of their customers, I could see that a large proportion were over the age of 60.

When creating the new website, I was asked to take this into consideration and make the navigation and online shop side of things very clear and easy to use.

I set about making the navigation buttons, text headings and pricing all in large, bold fonts so they were difficult to miss. As well as keeping the menu straightforward, each page follows the same philosophy and the information can be found in an instant.

Product Photography

Along with the overhaul of the website, it was a great opportunity to photograph Morgo’s entire range of products to show the quality of their products on the newly designed website.

These new images would help reinforce the high quality of their products that customers have come to know over the 50 years they have been producing aftermarket bike components.

The Brief

Morgo were looking for a full brand refresh wanting to create a more up to date look, as well as a complete overhaul of their online shop.

I was requested to make the branding bold and something that could be used throughout their range of products. This would incle the new line of merchandise which was being launched to coincide with the updated online shop.

To create the complete new look and feel of the site, I was tasked with photographing the entire product range. Aiming to highlight the quality and craftsmanship that goes into each part, made in house at their engineering facility based in Idle, West Yorkshire.

Another key part of this project was to transfer the online shop from PrestaShop over to WooCommerce. With more and more of my clients opting for Woo, it made sense to make the switch at this point and rebuild the site a the new platform.

The Result

Morgo were extremely happy with the outcome of the branding and the new website, it ticked all the boxes and surpassed their expectations.

The rebrand has been a big success with their customers, bringing a fresh look and opportunity for followers of the brand to don the new t-shirts and hats with the new logo design.
